This research-based program fosters child-led outdoor play, giving children the freedom to create their own adventures.
With minimal supplies and no traditional playground equipment, children learn to problem-solve, imagine, and explore in nature. Certified adult supervision is present, however, children take the lead in their play. -

TimberNook experiences are developed based on their therapeutic value and ability to inspire children to think and play in new and creative ways. The benefits extend far beyond the duration of the program—children take away valuable skills that can last a lifetime. At the heart of TimberNook programming is the philosophy that children flourish when given the time and space to play in sensory-rich, experiential learning environments.
