Welcome Bishop Daniel E. Garcia

With great joy and anticipation, the Diocese of Austin welcomes our newly appointed Bishop, the Most Reverend Daniel E. Garcia.
On July 2, 2025, Pope Leo XIV appointed Bishop Daniel to return to the Diocese of Austin, where he previously served as Auxiliary Bishop from 2015 to 2018. Since 2019, he has faithfully served as the Bishop of Monterey, California.
While an installation date has not yet been announced, we invite you to join us in prayer for the faithful of both the Diocese of Austin and the Diocese of Monterey during this time of transition.To read more about our Bishop, click HERE.

As Catholics, we use the word "liturgy" to refer to the celebration of the Mass, which is the center of our faith life. As a church family, we participate in the liturgy through prayer, song, and spoken responses. Join us, over the next ten months, in an exploration of liturgical catechesis topics, as we seek to gain valuable insight that will enable us to have a more vibrant and robust experience during each Mass.
