What is the Door to Door Mission?
    • What is the Door to Door Mission?

On Good Friday and Holy Saturday, Teams of Missionaries (or Families) will go door to door in the local neighborhood to personally invite every home to join in the whole Paschal Triduum and Easter celebrations. They pass out flyers with dates and time for services. They take down any prayer intentions and gather any requests for things like communion to the sick. If they are invited to do so, the missionaries can answer any questions about the faith that persons in the home may have.

Why should we do Door to Door Mission?
    • Why should we do Door to Door Mission?

      • To Share the Love of Christ!
      •  Jesus said to them. "Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to EVERY CREATURE."  Mark 16:15.
      • Speaking at World Youth Day in Denver (1993), St. Pope John Paul II implored all young people: “Do not be afraid to go out on the streets and into public places, like the first Apostles who preached Christ and the Good News of salvation in the squares of cities, towns and villages. This is no time to be ashamed of the Gospel (Rom 1,16). It is the time to preach it from the rooftops (Mt 10,27). Do not be afraid to break out of comfortable and routine modes of living, in order to take up the challenge of making Christ known in the modern "metropolis". It is you who must "go out into the byroads" ( Mt 22,9) and invite everyone you meet to the banquet which God has prepared for his people. The Gospel must not be kept hidden because of fear or indifference.”

“Do not be afraid to go and to bring Christ into every area of life, to the fringes of society, even to those who seem farthest away, most indifferent.” -Pope Francis, Rio de Janeiro 2013.

When and where will the Door to Door Mission be held?

    Resources to Prepare for Missions
    • How can I prepare for Mission?

There are many ways to get ready for mission service.

      Pray

We ask you to begin praying that the Holy Spirit will create in your heart a deeper desire to seek Christ in those around you with compassion, charity and hospitality.

      Fast

Because we are preparing for this mission during Lent, maybe take a moment to begin fasting in a particular way right now for the souls you will encounter on mission.

      Prepare

Here are some video links to inspire and prepare you for what is to come.
      1. Mission Youth Holy Week Mission explained
      2. How can I strike up an evangelization conversation?
      3. I get nervous about evangelization; how can I change?

      Be open

To where God is sending you and to the person He places in your path. Seeds will be planted on this mission, you only need faith that He will nurture them to grow at the right time
